Bitmap Bureau have just announced a new 2D side-scroller they’re calling Terminator 2D: NO FATE. It’s an officially licensed Terminator game and will launch this September on Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox and PC. Check out the pre-order page for the different physical (including collectors) editions and digital pre-orders will be coming at a later date:

Their press release said ports for retro platforms will be “announced at a later date”, and as you can imagine, that’s what I’m the most interested in. I’d personally love to see an SNES version, but honestly, I’d be open to any retro “demake”. The game itself looks like a standard “modern retro” side-scroller, but the fact that it’s an official Terminator game absolutely adds to the cool factor.
